Andrew Solgado
This is a study of a jar filled with marmalade in the style of Andrew Solgado. I conducted this study to begin to explore the style in which this artist works in. This artist actually paints organic objects but I decided in aid of a simple experiment I would draw a more non-organic object, using simpler lines and focussing more on his paint style. Solgado use a very expressive technique palette not necessarily using the exact lines provided. I believed that the most suitable media for this would be oil pastel as applying white spirit allows me to alter the opacity levels.
