Observational studies

This image is a study in pencil of a glass bottle. This relates to my theme due to the transparent nature of the object. To capture this I used very light marks on my sketch. This use of light marks gave the image a transparent illusion.

This image is a very quick study done in pencil attempting to capture the bottle from a unique perspective. I did this sketch very quickly to improve my use of perceptive drawing.

This is a continuous line drawing of a glass bottle. I did this sketch in order to further extend my understanding of the object by capturing the lines of the object. On this sketch I gave myself a time limit. This time limit allowed me to make a more concise study of the object.

 

 

This is a line drawing exploring movement in the object. This object had two states. Open and closed To explore movement I drew two different sketches on top of one another, of both states of the object.
